Landlords Simon Woplin 6 Duke Street Brighton BN1 1AH East Sussex Brewery Inn Brighton Click to zoom Email this pub One of the oldest watering holes in Brighton, in many ways the Victory Inn has the feel of a traditional pub, albeit given a more contemporary, loungey feel complete with sofas in the downstairs bar. With each floor divided into three small rooms, it benefits from a more intimate feel than its capacity would normally allow, while the location in the heart of The Lanes keeps the atmosphere lively. This is particularly so at weekends, when DJs include Mick Fuller and members of Scratch Perverts. There’s seating outfront as well as a secret courtyard garden, for summer - and, thanks to heaters and roof, for smokers all year round. They offer a full menu and Sunday roast and remain one of the few places in Brighton where you can get a pint from 11am - or a coffee and all-day breakfast if you prefer. The upstairs, which boasts a first-rate PA system, is available for private hire. |
