There are three acres of lovely grounds to the rear including a children's play area and a beer garden just the place to relax and enjoy a quiet drink on offer on fine days, or some of the great food on offer. The interior is warm and has a welcoming ambience, and retains much of its original character, happily combined with the comforts of today. The bar area is open-plan, while there's a separate dining area. From bar snacks and lunches to full evening meals, complemented by daily specials, the menus boast a range of tempting dishes such as home-made pies, steaks, chicken and vegetarian choices. Fish and seafood are specialities. Real ales three at any one time are on tap, together with a good range of lagers, ciders, spirits, wines, soft drinks, teas and coffees. The six guest bedrooms are comfortable and well-appointed, providing the perfect base from which to explore this beautiful region. The Landlady, Sharon Stephens is a local person, she and her friendly staff are happy to offer all their guests a warm Cornish welcome. |
