Email this pub The Treninnick Tavern pub is just a short walk from the heart of bustling Newquay; The Tavern is a splendid "country inn" that is well worth seeking outē. As Advertised in the hidden inns of "Cornwall"

Dating back to the 16th century, it is only since 1965 that this wonderful old building has been an inn and, for many years, it was a farmhouse. To the front is a beautiful cottage "garden" and "patio area" - an ideal place to soak up the sun - and the mass of colourful flowers in the borders, window box's and hanging baskets puts most other gardens to shame.

Inside, the inn is equally charming and here owner John Milan has blended the "olde worlde" character of the building perfectly with the new. Managed by another local man, Steve Simmons, this inn is a popular place with locals, both young and old, and visitors are given a warm friendly welcome. Just the place to come for those who enjoy a good "pint of beer" - there are always three "real ales" on tap

There is no designated restaurant at The Tavern pub at present, however the function room and the accompanying area is capable of seating over sixty. Steve and Karen invite you to The Tavern pub food specialties evenings. Due to high demand please come early to avoid any disappointment

There is Live entertainment throughout the year on Friday evenings and on also on Saturday evenings during the summer. "Lively bands" and "artists" from around the country enjoy entertaining the friendly crowd at the Tavern.

Sunday evening sees the popular quiz evening arrive, bringing with it the think tank of Newquay! All in all it is a fun evening with plenty of "prizes" to be won. Come and test your "general knowledge" skills

The Tavern pub enjoys a community spirit encouraging people to join in the "sports" and "games". Host to the "Tavern Angling Society", it welcomes "fisherman" from all over to take part in the many events scheduled throughout the year. The "Tavern Golf Society" is a strong and long established band of ardent golfers. Organizing matches and social events for members and visitors alike.
