Landlords Annie Clift Bromyard Road Knightwick Worcester WR6 5PH Worcestershire Click to zoom Email this pub A 15th century coaching inn, run for 29 years by the Clift family and managed by sisters Annie and her team. They place huge importance on organic and locally produced ingredients, growing their own chemical free vegetables, herbs, and salad leaves.Nearly everything they sell is made ‘in house’ bread, preserves, black pudding, raised pies, puddings etc, etc. Wild food is gathered from the fields and hedges round about – no processed food is brought in. Most ingredients, if not home grown are sourced from named suppliers within a 5 mile radius. The only exception is fish from Cornwall and Wales. The menu changes daily. The Talbot is also the home of The Teme Valley Brewery, started in 1997 using hops grown in the parish. The cask conditioned ales – all on hand pump in the bar – are called “This” “That” “T’Other” and “Wot” - Wot is a seasonal beer, Spring Wot, Wot Wassail, Wotever Next, etc. Hobson’s Best Bitter is also available. The Talbot also hosts The Teme Valley Market on the second Sunday of every month. |
