 Email this pub The Maiden Over is a privately owned and operated business. We pride ourselves on being a friendly community orientated pub. We operate a traditional approach where we endeavour to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere, along with safe and comfortable surroundings.
The pub was built in 1965, and opened by the Engand and Surrey Cricketer Ken Barrington, hence the name 'Maiden Over'. We have strong ties with The "Kiwi Cricket Club" and The Lower Earley Cricket Club. The pub itself is very sports orientated with a strong following for "Reading FC" and "London Irish rugby", plus a Petanque Club and 2 pool teams.We have a well maintained garden area and patio facilities for the warmer weather days.
Good parking facilities are provided.
We do operate strict controls on social behavior and under age drinking hence a safe and secure environment.
