Email this pub The Maiden Over is a privately owned and operated business. we are the new owners October 2010. We pride ourselves on being a friendly community orientated pub.
We have recently reburbished the front 'public' bar which is now the Rioba Coffee Lounge selling a range of coffee's, teas paninio's and cakes while still offering a full range of beers wines and spirits.

History
The pub was built in 1965, and opened by the Engand and Surrey Cricketer Ken Barrington, hence the name 'Maiden Over' and the main lounge bar is named asfter him. We also have strong ties with The Lower Earley Cricket Club. The pub itself is very sports orientated with a strong following for "Reading FC" and "London Irish rugby", and a pool team. We do have a dart's board but no team as yet! we have real cask ales(london pride, IPA and a rotating guest ale). We have a well maintained garden area, heated smoker's hut and patio facilities for the warmer weather days and in the summer months we will have bbq's weather permiting!.
Good parking facilities are provided.
We do operate strict controls on social behavior and under age drinking hence a safe and secure environment.as this is a family pub.we have regular live bands and many other functions (disco,race nite,karokee from time to time) every Sunday is quiz night starting at 9pm. we have a function room for hire for children's/adult parties,christenings,wedding receptions etc-cold buffet and room decoration available at extra cost.
