Email this pub The Grove Inn is a beautiful 17th Century Grade II Listed Thatched Inn set in the middle of the unspoilt North Devon conservation village of Kingsnympton. Kingsnympton’s location is ideal for touring Dartmoor, Exmoor and both coastlines of Devon or you could just simply explore the immediate countryside which offers some great walks with fantastic views. When you visit the Grove Inn you can enjoy a warm welcome, a warm open fire during the colder months, any of the Real Ales (CAMRA listed since 2007), Real Ciders and their extensive selection of wines & champagne all available by the glass. This all accompanies a menu that is always cooked using the freshest Devon produce.

Deborah has always wanted to use the freshest local produce to create her menu and with the help of Butcher Steve Forrester in Chulmleigh, Greengrocer John Lucas at Lakehead Farm, Head Mill Trout Farm in Kingsnympton and Dan the Fish Man (to name just a few of their suppliers) she can confidently say she’s doing just that.

Throughout the week you can choose any of their Specials, Grills or Snacks from the blackboards which change according to season and offer something for everyone. On Sunday you can enjoy a Traditional Sunday Lunch or maybe you’d like to try ‘Fish & Chip Night’ on Tuesday where they use only the finest haddock fillet coated in their own beer batter made from ‘Exmoor Ale’ brewed in Wiveliscombe by the Exmoor Brewery.

If you visit the Grove for a drink or stay longer for something to eat we’re sure you’ll enjoy your time.

Menu

Being located in the heart of Devon we're very fortunate to be so close to some of the best produce in the country and this is what inspires our multi-award winning menu - just have a look for yourselves.

With the help of local producers we have been developing our menu since early 2003 and it has now become a showcase of what is produced locally and in season. Devon is a very rural county offering many diverse forms of farming and if it wasn't for their hard work we would not be surrounded by such beautiful scenery. As recognition for this hard work we choose to source as locally to home as possible and ultimately offer a real taste of Devon. Being a village pub we also cater for the drinker and offer some of the best West Country Ales and Ciders available, Quality Wines from home and abroad and boast a collection of 33 Single Malt Whiskies from Scotland, Ireland, Wales, France and as far as Japan.

Don't just take our word for it go and visit the Grove Inn.
