The Fox Goes Free boasts 400 years of character and history which is still preserved today. William the 3rd used to come for refreshing the Royal Hunting Party on breaks from London. The pub is set in the beautiful countryside of Goodwood Estate at the bottom of the South Downs, close to the Weald and Downland Singleton Open Air museum, Goodwood racecourse and motor racing courses and the West Dean Gardens.
The Fox Goes Free prides itself on the preservation of many of the original features including, the bread oven, inglenook fireplaces low beamed ceilings and brick floors. With all this and the good range of real ales, fine wines and our extensive menu it will make your visit one never to be forgotten.
The food menu is changed daily. Everything is prepared freshly on the premises with ingredients sourced as locally as possible. Whatever you choose it can be accompanied by wine from our excellent list or why not enjoy one of our four hand-pulled real ales, selected from local independent breweries?
