Our meat is fresh from a farm butcher and our fish is fresh daily from Penzance. We do not use frozen fish or meat ever. The vegetables that we use are also fresh and are sourced from local farms.Click to zoom Email this pub Situated in the unspoiled Valley of Lanherne lies the village of St Mawgan where you will find the 16th century public house, The Falcon Inn.Here we offer a warm and friendly atmosphere, coupled with a reputation for serving good food and wines, local real ales and 10 Malt Whiskies. We also have a large award winning garden with a wishing well and a magnificent 100 year old Magnolia tree. ideal for long, lazy lunchtimes to enjoy one of our meals or a chance to partake of our daily BBQ, or, for the winter months, you can sit round our large open roaring fire and put the world to rights with other like minded people. A selection of local historical prints and photographs along with paintings for sale by local artists are displayed in the bright and cheerful dining/breakfast room.. The Falcon Inn is an ideal escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, with no jukeboxes or games machines to spoil the atmosphere and ambience of the inn. St. Mawgan is ideally situated to visit a large amount of interesting places in Cornwall such as, Lanhydrock House, Trerice, The Tate Gallerey at St. Ives and not forgetting The Eden Project. We are also close to Newquay Airport along with four golf courses, extreme water sports, Jamie Olivers '15' Restaurant, The Camel Trail and many, many more. Newquay is a surfers paradise with many world ranking events being held there throughout the year. St. Mawgan itself has a Post Office and general store, tea rooms, a Bonsai Nursery and Japanese Gardens, a 14th Century church, a Fransican Convent dating back to the 1700's, a local craft shop and an antique shop. In the Convent there are to be found a few Friars who tend the land who are always willing to stop and discuss things with you. In the Summer you may be able to catch the local cricket match on the village green. A twin en-suite room with T.V., tea and coffee making facilities and Wi-Fi, is £45.00 per person per night, or £50.00 per single occupancy. A double en-suite room with T.V., tea and coffee making facilities and Wi-Fi, is £45.00 per person per night, or £50.00 per single occupancy. We welcome quiet dogs on leads in the bar area but not in the letting rooms. Our Bed & Breakfast rates are person per night and are inclusive of V.A.T. We accept most credit and debit cards. Please note that the inn is not normally manned between 3 - 6 pm Monday to Saturday, so it would help if you could time your arrival around these hours. If you need further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us. Directions:- Take the St. Columb/Newquay turning off the A30. At the next roundabout, take the A39 to St. Columb/Newquay Airport. Then at the next roundabout, take the first exit signposted to St. Mawgan/Newquay Airport. 200 yards past the petrol station, turn right to Newquay Airport. After approximately 2 miles take the first right signposted St. Mawgan. Continue down into the village where we will be fouind at the bottom of the hill on the right hand side.
