 Email this pub Welcome to the Dog & Gun Country Inn & Restaurant, a coaching inn with origins dating back to the 1700's, exudes old world charm; combined now iwth a 21st century fine dining experience, we are sure you will enjoy your visit!
Every dish, from the freshly baked rolls, through to our deliciously tempting dessert selection, is made here on the premises from the finest ingredients.
Our chefs excel in delighting both the corporate customers who lunch with us and those guests who apprecieate the fine dining found in our set price lunch menu. Those in search of something lighter, may choose from our garden menue; either a fresh baguette accompanied by homemade vegetable crisps or one of our firm family favoucrites such as fish & chips, liver & bacon or homemade steak pie, all or which and more are served until 5.30pm. A firm winner is a £5.00 with local sausages and onion mash, scampi & chips, local thickly carved ham, egg & chips and spaghetti bolognase are included plus others. We have a tremendous range of vegetarian options, all identified on our menu's.
Our set price dinner menu and a la carte selection are both available from 6pm and our legendary Sunday lunches are served throughout the day, with the last food order at 4pm. Booking for each meal is not always necessary but is recommended to avoid disappointment.
You are very welcome to join us for just a relaxing drink whilst enjoying the beautiful countryside and gardens where families can benefit from the childrens play area.
