 Email this pub Today's Crown & Sceptre was rebuilt in 1964 to replace the old thatched Crown & Sceptre which was sadly destoyed by fire in 1962, pictures of which hang on the wall.
We have a good relaxing & friendly pub in the village of Newton St Cyres, which boasts picturesque thatched cottages, with the Ford running through the village. Lots of good local walks, some of which are along the River Creedy and are part of the EXE VALLY WAY.
THE CROWN & SCEPTRE in Newton St Cyres is situated on the A377 only 3 miles from crediton and 5 miles from the city of Exeter.
A good place for meeting up with friends for a meal or just for a drink, a family meal out or a cosy meal for two.Popular with locals & visitors, a warm welcome to all our customers.

Plenty of car parking spaces available, or if you want to relax and have a drink without the worry of driving, we are on the main bus route between Exeter and Crediton. Bus's no. 50 & 51 stop just outside.
