We have an excellent community focused relaxing & friendly pub within the village of Newton St Cyres. A village which was identified and won the title of Best Kept Village 2012. The local area boasts picturesque thatched cottages, with the Ford running through it. Lots of good local walks, some of which are along the River Creedy and are part of the EXE VALLY WAY. The CROWN & SCEPTRE in Newton St Cyres is situated on the A377 only 3 miles from Crediton (Kirton) and 5 miles from the city of Exeter. A wonderful place for meeting up with friends for a meal or just for a drink, a family meal out or a cosy meal for two.Popular with locals & visitors, a warm welcome to all our customers. Sample some of the Finest Local Real Ales, Lager's, Fine Wines, Spirits or even soft drinks. We also boast the ability to provide some of the best Bar Meals within the area, using locally sourced Fresh Ingredients. So why not come and try some of the best local produce around which is freshly prepared by Madeleine and the team in the kitchen. Relax in our beautiful secure garden with safe "childrens play area" and BBQ. Set aside from the resturant and main bar, we have a pool table and darts board. Plenty of car parking spaces available, or if you want to relax and have a drink without the worry of driving, we are on the main bus route between Exeter and Crediton. Bus's no. 50 & 51 stop just outside. Private Functions, Hospitality Events, Community Events, Live Music Events are some but not all of which can be catered for,either indoors in our Resturant and Bar area. Or as an External Event elsewhere or in our beautifull secure garden area with safe "childrens play area". Take Away Fish and Chips available Daily. The CROWN & SCEPTRE is proud of having three Local Pool Teams & two Local Darts Teams! Curry and Quiz night is held every 1st Tuesday in the month, with meals from 6.30pm & then the Quiz starting at 8pm'ish. Good Fun for all the family! |
