 Email this pub The Smiths Tavern is a 16th century inn located in the centre of Ashbourne in the "Peak District" National Park. The pub retains many of it's 'olde world' features and has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. The Smith's Tavern is the winner of the "Cask Ale Pub" of the Year Award for 2004/2005/06 and has recently won the beautiful beer gold award. In addition to this paul as won the award again for 2007/08 making him the best cask ale pub in the country. He offers the very best in cask ales which are allways kept in fantastic condition and the home cooked food is a must. All food is "freshly prepared" from "locally sourced" ingredients for a menu reflecting the best of traditional dishes. The Smiths Tavern's originality is reflected in it's menu which features speciality dishes changed weekly as is the range of cask ales on offer. With it's location in the centre of Ashbourne it is an ideal stopping off point for the best in food and drink. Parties and special occasions catered for ,with special menus on request. Buffets also available.Pensioners specials £5.50 including free tea or coffee monday to friday.
