 Email this pub A great place to relax & unwind, Lilico's 1844 is the latest bar in Barnstaple owned by Chris Smith and Wanda Yeo. The concept of a mediterrean tapas bar evolved from their love of food from around the world. The bar which is bright & spacious overlooks the square and longbridge, here you can enjoy a lite brunch, a quick coffee or a leisurely bottle of wine, downstairs is the non smoking restuarant which can easily cater for up to 30 covers.

The whole premises has been totally refurbished to a very high standard from the sandstone blocks & arches to the original flag stone flooring, discreet lighting & background music complete the Lilico's effect. Wanda, Chris & staff welcome you to Lilico’s 1844. Lilico’s is an old family name, and we have tried to capture the feel and atmosphere of the Mediterranean and felt the name would also compliment the surroundings.
