Notes

A Bit About the Team In July 2005, Stephen and Valeria Taylor bought The Grove Inn enchanted by the charming 17th Century building, its attractive setting and the exciting business potential offered by such an appealing venue. We closed the pub for 6 weeks to give it a well needed overhaul and to add some personal touches to make The Grove Inn our own. During the first year of trading we have developed The Grove Inn into a welcoming environment with a reputation for offering excellent food, fine wines and well kept real ales at a level above that of the average pub. This is our first venture into the pub/restaurant trade, a move very much inspired by our combined passion for good food, wine, eating out and entertaining. So far, we are delighted to have developed a seasonal menu, which changes completely every 6-8 weeks, as well as a few daily changes, We are all working hard to obtain an AA rosette award. We are fortunate to have a creative and friendly kitchen team that share our culinary ambitions.

The Grove Inn is a beautiful 17th Century Stone Building situated in the heart of the South Downs where we offer excellent quality food, fine wines and real ales. This Free House is set on the outskirts of the town of Petworth. This historic town is famous with tourists for its Stunning Charm and the many and varied Antique Shops. The Conservatory Restaurant overlooks our beautiful gardens with fantastic views of the South Downs. There is also a cosy bar area with oak beamed ceilings and a large Stone Fireplace lit during the winter months.
The Grove Inn is conveniently placed in reach of several notable places of interest, including, Cowdray Park (home of the British Polo), Cowdray Park Golf Club (par 70, measuring 6121 yards), Petworth House & Park, Lurgashall Winery, Black Down and Goodwood Race track.
