Landlords Jamie & Claire Whitbread Thame Road Warborough Wallingford OX10 7DD Oxfordshire Brewery Admiral Taverns Click to zoom Email this pub The inside of the beautiful little pub matches expectations, in the winter there is a lovely log fire, in the summer the back restaurant is delightfully cool. The Cricketers at Warborough caters for all:-Senior Citizens can enjoy smaller portions of the many items on the menu at a reduced price. Children & Toddlers get their own menu & there is plenty of play equipment in the secure beer garden to keep kids amused. High chairs are provided and children are also welcomed in the main non-smoking dining area. For the young at heart each table in the dining area is clothed in paper with crayons supplied for doodling, whether you wish to play hang-man while you wait for your meal (for not too long I hope) or you may wish to create a master-piece on the tablecloth, the crayons are not just for the kids. Let not all this fun take away the splendid-ness of the food - The Cricketers takes value for money very seriously as well as having a passion for quality, locally sourced healthy alternatives are used where possible, eggs & vegetables are always from local farms with some of the salad & herbs grown in the back-garden. The menu is large with all items, snacks to Sirloin Steaks being available any time of day. The fishmonger calls 3 – 4 times a week so a choice of fresh fish is always available. There are 3 vegetarian mains as well as a choice of salads or vegetarian starters. For desert The Cricketers boasts home-made ice cream, which can be served unadorned or as part of one of the many ice-cream sundae concoctions that are on the deserts menu. You don’t have to have a meal to enjoy a desert as the Cricketers welcomes guests for ‘Afternoon Tea’ 6 days a week which can consist of traditional Scones Cream & Jam, or any desert from the desert menu – or maybe you just need a nice pot of tea – There is something for everyone, all are welcome at Oxfordshire’s Friendliest Pub. |
