Butchers Name: The Butchers Arms Location: Coleford The Butchers Arms dates back to the 13th Century with original stone walling and real open fireplaces. Over the years it has had many uses, but primarily it was used as a cider house which dispensed cider to locals and travelers through its tiny windows, which are now inside windows!
The Butchers Arms is a reputable restaurant venue in the Forest of Dean and dinner reservations are essential, especially at the weekends.

The village of Clearwell itself is a sleepy tranquil village situated approximately 2 miles from Coleford market town. Clearwell Castle is host to many society weddings and is located just a 2 minute walk from the Butchers Arms.
